Counseling & Consulting provides performance-based, behavioral
leadership coaching for individuals and organizations. Our aim is to
help leaders achieve rapid gains in personal performance,
particularly in the ability to empower others and to apply the
organization’s vision to daily tasks. We help you capitalize
on your strengths so that you can synergize your activities, motivate
your team, and optimize your performance.
We are certified in the use and implementation of the Hogan Assessment
System, which we believe to be the most effective instrument available
to help managers understand the personal strengths they should
capitalize on and the blind spots or behaviors that may be impeding
their success.
Our approach is to customize the coaching experience to meet client
needs. We understand the importance of results and return on investment.
Needs are determined using targeted assessments, one to one peer
interviews, 360 degree interviews and climate surveys. Individual
leadership development plans are implemented strategically, and may
include job shadowing, meeting facilitation, training, and/or team
building exercises.

The format and
process of coaching is as important as the relationship. Our objective
is to allow the coachee to maintain accountability for his or her own
development. We have developed the exclusive "i-notes" binder and
journaling system to encourage each client to systematically monitor and
document his or her own progress. The i-notes binder is divided into
sections so that the coaching client can manage goals, create a personal
development plan, and track the specific steps required to achieve those
goals.
The i-notes journal is a specialized tool that enables individuals to
apply new behaviors “live” in the workplace. These behavioral
modification efforts are noted in the journal and practiced again during
coaching meetings. This methodology proves to be highly successful in
achieving long lasting results, as the behavior is practiced in real
life work-place settings and reinforced through multiple
implementations.
